After nearly five years managing her family's finances, Holly McCall, a 34-year old stay-at-home mother of two from Vienna, Va., never thought she would have trouble getting a credit card.

She blames that denial on a recent Card Act rule.

"I think it's demeaning -- I don't want to ask my husband's permission for a credit card," McCall said. "Just because I don't get a direct paycheck for [my work], doesn't mean it's not worthwhile work that I'm doing."
Here's an idea, pay for it with CASH

So is she going to pay the card back with goodwill? Why not just get a 2nd card on her husband's account?

"I'm I stupid fricking count who doesn't realize that I will still have to ask my husband to pay the bill when it comes in, but since I have nothing better to do (i guess taking care of the kids got boring), I guess I'll just whine for more regulation, so life becomes more expensive for everybody else who works!"
And they're not even MILFS.

Isn't she looking to have less regulation here?

Good point. On review, I would go 5 and be done...

Giving a woman a credit card is like giving a loaded pistol to a baby.

They can't just be added on as an "authorized user?"

Yeah, I guess. I was just having some fun with it. My point was, more rules, regulations, procedures, whatever it may be, cost companies money, which always gets passed to the consumer.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but shouldn't a married couple know that one or the other is getting a credit card? What's the big deal?
