Business casual and you'll feel comfortable. Their dessert menu used to be ridiculous.

I call their food "upscale" cajun

Start with the fried crab cake appetizer.

The Grilled Mahi Mahi is excellent fish choice, along with with the snapper vermilion (Cream sauce).
The steak/beef is supreme

For dessert, rum bread pudding is excellent, better than most.

You can go in shorts, but pants and nice shirt more better

I forgot about the lamb chops. Supremely delightful (I sound like a foody, no). Never had the duck, but only cause I'm sure my wild duck is better.

and??............give us your review when you can.

I haven't gone to Cafe Vermilionville in a few years, but it is some of the best food and drink in town.

**Review**

Started the evening off with the house merlot along with the bacon wrapped grilled shrimp.. Wine was great however the appetizer didn't blow me away.. It was good though.
For the main coarse I ordered the Redfish Acadien. It consisted of pan seared redfish, fresh jumbo lump crabmeat, corn and peppers parmesan risotto, lemon dill beurre blanc, and asparagus... Simply Amazing.

Nice. Just as I recall it, many years ago. This place is a Lafayette classic one-of-a-kind must-see.

My wife and I are long overdue for revisiting Cafe Vermilionville. Thanks for your review.
