Rebranding and Lotto odds and draft picks are the only topics that matter at this point. If you are sick if rebranding threads that's fine but this was a legit angle for opinions of hornets fans regarding a popular topic.
I did researching on you jayjay2. Speaking of frivolous, you posted a thread about griffin getting punked. That's so frivolous of you and it has nothing to do with hornets talk. i won't argue 
but it's getting decent discussion at least. and, whether chad meant to or not, he's actually making a half way good point about the importance of color v. name. which is going to bring more of a casual fan base/sell merch. pretty good question

Congratulations on researching me. And If that's frivolous to you, cool. Doesn't make me any less cooler. That thread was an entertainment thread since the team just got done with playing the clippers not too long ago. You don't have to rely on me to make threads, I'm here to be informed not be the informer. You're here to make shitty nonsensical threads.

I was the first to post and this thread and almost said the same things as you, but it has turned out to be a worthwhile discussion. Anything to keep this place from dying is cool with me.

we spent a lot of time giving thoughts to names and then the strong reactions to some of these color combos lately got me to thinking how I prioritize the importance of each. I think names can grow on us given time but i'm not sure color combos can. And you can't really just up over night rebrand total complete different color schemes. Some way or another, you are stuck like chuck.

Personally, I like a purple, green & gold scheme for a New Orleans team. I prefer it over red, black and gold. But I'll flip a message to the guy that created the design to see if he can't re-render the logo in red, black and gold just to see what it would look like.

I got in touch with Scott at Guru Design (the man responsible for the Pelicans logo and uniform design), sent him the link to this thread and asked him to re-render the Pelicans logo with black, yellow and red. I must say it looks much better than I would have imagined.

Anyone know what the name will be, or what the potential names are? I heard Benson registered the names New Orleans Louisiana Spirit and New Orleans Louisiana Angels. (I'm probably late to this conversation, but I don't frequent the blog)

Great first post mon. Those names are registered, no other rumors have come up. If you look at the first thread, there are a bunch of names all the jackasses on this site came up with. 98% are terrible, but a few might be real possibilities

Brass
Pelicans
Spirit
Voodoo
Benson owns the rights to the name Pelicans. He used to own the Voodoo and people think the name would be affordable if he wanted to buy it. It is speculated that Benson registered Spirit and Angels. Brass is "available" but supposedly being squatted on by a lawyer. Other popular names like Krewe weren't registered which makes me think they aren't in the mix.
Gayle Benson did a TV interview where she said she favored a black, gold and Cardinal red color scheme leading to speculation that it could be a reference to Cardinals (bird or religious leader) or something religious like Knights or Crusaders.
