I admire the mans convictions, but he's a criminal. No doubt about that. And how he's lived this long at sea I'll never know because he has all the nautical sense of a hillbilly.

exactly...i watched the first season of it on netflix...all i needed to see that he wants all his crewmembers to do the dirty work and risk getting killed or arrested while he sits in the cabin and "plans"

Yeah fricking shark finners are awesome man, right up there with the Japenese long liners who wiped out millions on tons of fish right off you dumbasses back door in the 80's, gill netters are fricking great too, or the redfish purse seining pogy boats.
Guy is a arse often but at least is trying to fricking do something, although he is a complete tool.
When he puts a fricking whaler in the bottom of the sea he will have my respect. Should have bought a damn old u boat instead that bullshite.
All you guys are enjoying fishing but don't eben remember gill nets wars. If you didn't have your car or boat vandelized in the 90's or at least shot at once by the bastards you weren't in the fight over here, My favorite is hwen they used to draw the chalk body outline in front of your house. (LOL) That one was at least funny.
In sum, cut his griup some slack. They are helping everyone who fishes the northern gulf right now by flying weekly survelliance flights over well sites at their own exipense. Most of the aerial photos you see are from their members.
Or you can just trust the coast guard, cuz no way they would lie for BP. (LOL)

No one on that show risks their lives. Throwing stink bombs, shouting commands from a megaphone, and riding next to boats in another boat is not risking your life. I would not hate them so much if they would stop pretending that anything they do is dangerous or that they actually prevent whaling.

Im definitely not saying they are a bunch of hardasses or anything, but they do dumb enough shite thats dangerous as hell like riding alongside whaling vessels in inflatables. This dude makes these hippies think they are stopping whaling. And can regularly be seen on the show saying he expects his crew to risk their lives for whales. Ive only seen his big arse come out of the wheelhouse once, and he faked getting shot.
