Let's hope the 2012 Tigers respond the same way the 1987 Hurricanes did. The similarities are uncanny.

LSU doesnt have anything remotley in common with the 1987 thug U.
LSU and Miami couldnt be further away from each other as far as tradition, fans, program standards ect ect ect.
Thank God for it.

Not referring to that. More referring to the overall swagger of the team and the undefeated regular season only to lose in the national championship.

OK...I'll buy that. But that team was the epitome of violations waiting to happen.

Plus let's not rule out all the off the field problems we had in 2011 plus the "DBU" nickname we coined in the process. There are plenty of similarities.

Miami gave that game away to Penn. St. Many still thought the better team lost. Nobody watching the Bama/LSU game thought the better team lost. Bama whipped LSU. There are no similarities. Try again.

Well we did kind of beat them once. LSU was not at good at one position. If you really think that Bama was a better team top to bottom then you are kind of retarded. Maybe not fully retarded but kind of. I mean its possible that you could be fully retarded. IDK!!!!

I thought our team was young last year and that we somewhat overachieved. Honestly I think Alabama was the better team.

Not this fall. No sir, lsu is and will prove its the beter team

We were "one year early" last year... That's what most fans and "experts" said before last season.... This year it's championship or bust

There are similarities to the way we play the game.....fast and loose. That's what Chavis is all about. We can "out-athlete" pretty much anyone, including alabama because of our team speed. That formula will always work as long as we can continue to roll out speedy players that are athletic enough to hold up at the point of attack. We just have to hope that lack of experience at a few key positions doesn't cost us this year.

If you think LSU's problems last year even scratch the surface of even remotely being equal to the off the field problems Miami had back then, then you have lost your mind. Maybe on the purely football-related side of the equation.

I'd rather not see LSU get into brawls on the field

Everyone chill out, the guy didn't say we are the next Miami
He said there are similarities as to the two teams and seasons.
I agree with him
