We have grounded into the most DP in the league this year, 30 in 27 games. Ole Miss and Miss St are tied for 2nd most with 22 each.

From 2006-2012, Vandy 2010 (38) and Florida 2011 (30) are the only other teams to hit into 30 or more in a single season (30 games).

Thoughts?

I disagree. We may lack speed on the basepaths, but they don't suck. It just seems odd since not many teams reach the 30 dp mark

I agree that we should just win though. We have missed many an opportunity this year that could have prevented a few if those 1 run losses

A lot of double plays means there have been a lot of runners on first base.

That is just the ground ball double plays, right? I know overall, we have grounded into 40, but hit into 57 (I think that is through Sunday). We have had some bad baserunning dps also

Id like to see a % stat. Maybe we have a lot of runners on 1st as compared to other teams.

Am I reaching?

Not perfect, but would correlate with team OBP, I'm sure.

Where does LSU stand conference wise on OBP?
