That is terrible stats even by softball standards. What makes it worse, and further tells the story, is we have a pitcher in Fico who was the number 1 pitcher in the nation coming out of HS. She has a .99 era, which is third in the NATION, yet she has a 16-11 record. NO RUN SUPPORT.

I know softball is a pitcher dominated sport, but as noted above even the best pitchers can not win with out any run support.

This has been an issue plaguing the softball team for many recent seasons. Hopefully the new coach can turn this around in the long run.

Who has issues with LSU's hitting? Or LSU's anything (besides JAVY!!!), for that matter? Last I checked, we were running away with the West and in very good position for a top 8 seed, with two weeks to go...

LSU's team average in softball is .226. Compare that to some of the teams ahead of them in the Conference: .320 (Bama); .304 (Tennessee); .299 (Florida); and .270 (UGA). LSU definitely has lots of room to improve at the plate.

They are all Geraud's recruits except one or two freshmen playing. I think sadly Geraud did not know how to evaluate talent and this program has taken a dive. Hitting has been a sore spot for several years. They are not good enough to hit upper level pitching.
