X-Men franchise

Has anyone heard or read anything regarding future X-men movies. I had heard they were making another Wolverine sequel, and possible a Magneto origins, but haven't seen anything confirmed. Thanks!

Magneto origins was more or less X-Men First Class. They'll start filming X-Men First Class 2 next January. I think they start filming Wolverine this year.

I think they're going to reboot both Wolverine and Deadpool as if Origins never happened.

I really liked First Class, hopefully they can keep the quality up.

re: X-Men franchise

I'd like to see more of a straight up action based movie where they face a formidable threat and we can see some interesting uses of their powers.

I wouldn't even mind if it was something a bit apart from the whole "persecuted mutants" storyline (but I understand that's a big part of their mythos so I don't mind if it is something based on that like sentinels or something).

I am not too keen to see a origins movie or a stand alone movie with Wolverine or any of the other characters.

But then again, I always like basic team superhero books. Heck, I was a Champions fan.

They should be filming the Wolverine sequel this year. It's supposed to be set in Japan.

First Class might end up turning into a trilogy that leads into the originals.

There's also been rumors of sequels to the original trilogy though there's been nothing new on that for awhile.

The Wolverine, yes that's the title, is due out next summer. X-Men Second Class or whatever its gonna be called is currently being written. I'm hoping for sentinels but we'll see.

The X-Men is my favorite comic...the only X-Men movie I've really enjoyed was First Class, thought is it was great, but there was still shite that infuriated me about it. All the others, even X2, were "eh" for me. Really hoping the next Wolverine is watchable. I'd love to see a Mutant Massacre storyline or a Day's of Future Past movie, or what was that deal against The Second Brotherhood of Evil Mutants...took place in Dallas, led to the X-Men faking their own deaths?

I bet they just do some random bull shite with Sentinels.

E is for Extinction. Jump ahead in the continuity, soft reboot style, Re-cast every one except Jackman and Stewart, make Cyclops the lead. Move the team out to San Fran, and create an X-Men universe, just like the books with multiple teams, multiple films and then finally a big film to bring the room together, man

I've said it before. If they did this they could merge the two worlds together without much fuss.

And we get a time traveler- Bishop or Cable.

That dude doesn't look very big, I'd wanna see someone like Idris Elba play him.

I'm aware, but I'd still root for Idris Elba to play Bishop.

I couldn't be happier that he's off especially with all of the stupid ideas he wanted in the franchise. He was trying to turn an action film into some arthouse social commentary flick before the studio was like this is Wolverine, not Requiem for a Dream 2 guy.
