Texas visited Fournette last week and he told them he'd be at their June 10th camp. Austin American Statesman

Not really worried to see him going to camp at Texas they are pretty set at the tailback position already having

Joe Bergeron

Malcolm Brown

Jonathan Gray

but they did lose out on Dontre Wilson

I don't really see Texas being a threat with the idea that LSU could lose two backs after this year in Ware and Ford.

ESPN's "The Opening" can just take a back seat to Rivals 100 Five Star Challenge

Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge will take place in Atlanta from June 22-24. Eighty prospects for the class of 2013 and 20 prospects for the class of 2014.

Nine of the 20 invited 2014 prospects either have an LSU offer or they want one!

You can check them out on page one of this thread!

RB-Leonard Fournette
DB-Laurence Jones
LB-Hoza Scott
OT-Donell Stanley
LB-Kevin Crosby
CB/WR-Adoree' Jackson
CB-Darrion Johnson
DE-Malik McDowell
DE-Gerald Willis III (In the 1st linked article)

Someone else may want to start a thread about our 2013 commits POI and Louisiana recruits that will be there-Diarse, Smith, Beckwith, Jefferson, Prevot, Ellis...

We'll see how long that lasts when A&M is lucky to win 5 games next year

Texas will probably look to take 2 backs with the 2014 class.

Fournette and Scarbrough are both longshots, maybe even no shots sitting in LSU and Bama's backyards...just the staff showing the 2014 studs some early love..in recruiting you can't lose what u don't already have.

It's hard to tell right now. We have current offers out to Prevot, Robbie Rhodes (WR-Ft. Worth), Vonn Bell, Marcell Harris, Maurice Smith, and Chevoski Collins. The staff would love to get visits and probably offer the Cali JUCO TE Sandland and also Pagano from HI.

I think Prevot ends up with LSU but he's not a kid that is easy to read. Maurice Smith who once said we were his dream offer is playing hard to get...if things don't seem to improve with him, we may move on to some other prospects including Noel Ellis who will be visiting this weekend.

Harris and Bell are longshots...over the summer the recruiting picture for the rest of this class should be a lot clearer.

LSU and Texas seem to be crossing paths a lot more often on the recruiting trail and I see that increasing for the 2014 class. Good luck

Kennon is a superstar now! Just got voted 1st team All-State in baseball, and was honorable mention All-State in football.

Not too shabby for a sophomore in 5A!

I shouldn't comment on anything about Fournette any more , but I'll say this, depth is the main reason I think we will get him. Alabama will have Yeldon, Tenpenny and Jones all of whom will still be there in 2014, (AT and Jones thru 15), plus Bo S most likely in 2014. All 6 of our RB's for 2012 are draft eligible in either the 2013 or 2014 draft and it looks like we may only sign one this year

What does RB depth have to do with a LB?

Ok, sorry, that was just too easy. Last time I promise.

It would have been very disappointing if no one made that comment
