3 of us will be in Lake Charles tomorrow night & probably will want to go have boiled crawfish for dinner, or at least a good seafood meal.

Never even stopped in Lake Charles before, so not sure where the good places are.

Where should we go?

You're gonna get 37 replies about something called a Darrel's Special with jalapeno mayo. They gonna call it a poboy, but its not. Its a long sandwich.

Since nobody from the Chuck is gonna answer you, I'll name a place they recommend called Steamboat Bills and another they call the Crab Palace.

Never been to either, but thats what they talk about.

Darrell's had a small fire Sunday morning due to a faulty wire in an ice machine. So that's a no go for now.

Also, that "long sandwich" is better than 95% of the poboys I've ever eaten.

Seafood Palace. Very casual, but pretty good boiled seafood.

To the OP, call L'Auberge and see if they're doing crawfish tomorrow night. I'm not sure what nights they're boiling them right now.

If you don't wanna do the casino then Seafood Palace and Steamboat Bill's are both solid.

There's a drive through shop called Heinen's near the corner of Lake St. & Country Club Rd. that are top notch If you have a place where you can eat them I'd pick up from there.

Steamboat Bills will be good and they also have different seafood meals and are right on I10 just before crossing bridge. They are one of my favorite of the local restaurants. If it interests you LaBaurge should have boiled crawfish on their buffet tomorrow I think starting at 3, crawfish are usually very good, think it will run you about $26/person for buffet and all you can eat crawfish if I remember correctly. Even if you wanted Darrell's is out due to a small fire over the weekend. Have not had them this year but Boiling Point and Sausage Link usually do a pretty good job in Sulphur. Lot of very good pickup places in area but sounds like you need a spot to sit down.
