Last year I did that then got that arse chewed out by some old man who seen me throwing em on the ground. Don't know of any place to officially dump them like a "parish dump" or something.

If your in city limits they may pickup curbside. If you live out of city limits burn it.

He saw you throw them on the ground.

If he was chewing you out I can only assume it was due to you trespassing and illegally dumping on others private property.

I suggest you don't trespass or discard trash on others property.

It was like in this little "coulee" type area, and it was tree limbs. Give it a few weeks and it would do nothing but fertilize the ground. Old people will bitch to bitch I guess

But if everyone did that it would cause drainage problems. Jus saying.

Around here (rural area) we bring them to BFI and they run 'em through a chipper/branch grinder. I'm sure LC has some kind of service. If not in city limits, police jury???

Greetings OB posters. A related question. I've got 120 large trees on 1.3 acres. I'm on a lake so wind is an issue. Limbs come down every time there is a storm. 20% are a great size for fire wood so I cut them with a chainsaw. 80% are too small and my neighbor doesn't want me to burn them because he hates the smell of burning wood.

I've thrown some in the water to rot but that inhibits swimming off the dock. I've thrown some on his vacant lot which he allows me to do but it's getting full.

My question... do any of you have chipper shredders? I'm thinking of making these smaller branches into mulch for the garden. But I've never owned one.

Where exactly is that located in sulphur?? Might have to travel the bridge with limbs in back of my truck but to get rid of them I might have too! I'm gonna call the police jury tomorrow and see what they tell me.

Call your trash pickup company and ask. As long as they're bagged or in a can, they'll usually pick em up... at least that's how they do it around my subdivision.

Assuming you are coming from L.C. Take exit 21 off I-10 and go south. Turn left at the first red light, at the first stop sign turn right and it will be on the left about a block.

Wouldn't throwing them in the water will make them last longer?

I love to make fires and love the smell. I'd have to tell the neighbor too bad. He's lucky you don't have a fireplace in your home.

Sounds like you're trying to do right though so thought I'd suggest some type of "pen" in the water that you could throw them in. Would hold them so swimming wouldn't be a problem.

Even throwing them in a corner of a yard they decompose pretty quickly.
