Amp Hill was going to play a lot/start as a Freshman before he tore his ACL. He was an absolute beast coming out of high school. Never got the chance to live up to his potential.

before Amp was hurt there were many practice reports that he was projected to be the #1

True, but a college player pulling out a sharpie (to sign the ball) on his new team after scoring a TD in the Spring game was a pretty stupid move. Even when he got healthy again, he had attitude problems that got him kicked off the team at USF.
