coming year. I know some of you are pretty good at prognostigating these things. A friend and classmate(1968) of mine at LSU lives in Vegas and would like to attend a night game in Tiger Stadium. Hasn't been to a night game since '68.

HELP!

Here's a link to the SEC schedule for 2012. Looks like CBS will be choosing between LSU/USCe and Bama@Mizzou. Please let CBS be in full suckage mode of Bama at that point. On Nov. 17th it looks like Arkansas/Moo. U might be your best game, followed by LSU/Ole Miss or Mizzou/Syracuse. That's a crappy weekend in the SEC. SEC

Your best chance is if USCe has two or three losses (doubtful) then CBS won't want the game, hence a night game!

Ole miss will probably suck too so it will most likely be a night game

Ole miss has the best chance out of those two in my opinion to be a night game. Probably on ESPN at night like this past year

OR..it could become the dreaded 11:30 am game...we're sure to get one of those this year and it will likely be the Ole Ms or MSU game.

Since we gave them the Ky game last year, I think we are in the clear as far as 11:30 games go for another 3 years. I'd say there's a 90+ percent that the Ole Myth game is at night. JMO.

CBS picks first. ESPN network picks second and technically has several time slots, usually the 6 or 7 pm. All SEC games are televised somewhere. Usually the 11:30 slot is when there is a full SEC slate of games.

LSU/Ole Miss won't be 11:30. Mizzou/Cuse does not figure into the equation as it's not an SEC game.

It's hard to predict but Ole Miss is more likely IMO.

I believe the " 11:30 rule"...simply limits an SEC team to no more than one home appearence/yr. NOT once every 3 yrs. Of course some teams don't mind the early kickoffs and OK multiple morning games...i.e. Vandy comes to mind.

Yes, this game could come into play since it is at Mizzou. CBS routinely showed the FSU@UF games over the last decade plus. CBS also aired UCLA@UT a few years ago. As long as it's at an SEC site, CBS has the rights to it(same way we played an ABC night game at WVU this year).

This is the correct assessment as to what we're up against on those weeks for night games (UNLESS the TV format gets tweaked at the SEC mtg; no idea if that's even up for dicussion).

They're just looking to get it over with.

Probably the only one since we get fricked out of our nightgames every year. SoCar is possible though.

The week we play South Carolina, the only other "big" game that weekend is Bama/Missouri. Both LSU and South Carolina should be undefeated at that point, so that game, more than likely will be a 2:30 CBS kickoff. The Ole Miss game will probably be on ESPN2 or ESPNU for a night game like last year if I had to guess. I could theoretically be a 11:30 game, but I doubt it. I'm just glad Bama/LSU is guaranteed to be primetime in Tiger Stadium next year.

Best weekend in the SEC looks to be the week before the South Carolina game:
LSU at Florida
Arkansas at Auburn
Georgia at South Carolina

CBS hasn't done a non-conference game since 2008 for the Tech/UGA game. You're right, they used to regularly do games like Florida/Miami, Florida/FSU, USC/Auburn, etc, but I'd be willing to guess the new ESPN contract might have changed that. Regardless, Syracuse was 5-7 last year. I'd put my money on Arkansas/State getting the CBS game before the Syracuse/Missouri game. That game isn't intriguing to me at all tbqh
