It's been 4 or 5 years since I moved from Metairie. I miss this stuff above all else.Use to eat there several times a month and never not ordered this with dinner.
Do any of you sleuths on here have any idea how to make something like the sauce they use? Obviously its nothing like BBQ sauce.stuff was amazing
TIA

Of course it isn't BBQ sauce, it's NOLA style BBQ shrimp and theres is good, but its far from the best.
Here is a recipe though.

Been going to CJ's since the price of a steak was closer to the original $5 special than it is now.
This seems to approximate what I was told: Mr. B's version. Was I was *not* told -- but can guess -- is to use big damn shrimp.

I would say go to nomenu.com. Tom Fitzmorris has a long list of recipes on his website. I would be shocked if that isn't on there

Thanks yall. The Mrs.B's One looks pretty legit.
Close enough to tweak some anyway

Crazy Johnnies actually does something somewhat akin to an actual barbecue sauce, though.
