anybody think he'll top 1k yards (from scrimmage) this year?

what do you think his peak yardage in a season will be (est.)?

do you still think a 1st and 2nd were worth it?

Ingram breaks Sproles' all purpose yard record this year. Book it.

Now more than ever it was worth it since we don't even have a pick in the first two rounds. We got this years first rounder last year.

And no he doesn't top 1k unless other RBs go down and he happens to stay healthy

I disagree, not that he's a bad player, just that running backs are a dime a dozen.

-Yes

2012 Projections
Sproles - 2100 APY
Thomas - 1200 APY
Ingram - 1150 APY
Ivory - Everyone stays healthy this year (fingers crossed) only 250 RY.

I don't think the Saints offensive gameplan is condusive to 1k yard/season rusher. If you are counting total combined yards, maybe. But the way they swap backs in so fluidly, I doubt Ingram will be in for more than 1st down, and 3rd & short yard situations. It also depends on how fast we get the lead in games.

Well i look at it as if we got the 1st rounder a year early in exchange for a 2nd round last year.
Had we not done that, Goodell would have stripped the pick from us.

I am not ready to grade the Ingram pick yet. He may end up rushing for 1200 yards this year.

i don't disagree, but that's looking at it with hindsight

we still have no 1st or 2nd this year as a result of the trade/punishment

Yep. But you asked if it was still worth it.

As if you said , " if you knew then what you know now, would you have done it?" Absolutely yes.

Then perhaps you should be more specific when you post your asinine hypothetical questions.

sorry, saying you think the trade was a good idea b/c an unforeseen crisis (that has nothing to do with the draft) that broke months after the season (and almost a year after the draft) would have possibly stripped us of the 1st round pick we traded is pretty much the definition of hindsight

which one needs to be more specific?

they're all pretty specific

you missed my point. I was not arguing the definition of hindsight.

and for the record I'm not a fan of the trade in the first place.

I don't have the energy to argue today.
I am sorry SFP. I just can't do it.
