anybody seen/been in any good scraps be it at Boat launches, hunting camps, deer stands, been chased in boats by angry locals, i wanna hear some confrontation stories that have to do with the outdoors...I know they're out there.....Most I saw was a couple guys get in each other faces at Delacroix landing over who was in line to put their boat in. No fists just words......whatcha got

I've exchanged words with people pulling right up on me when they saw me catching fish. Other than that, I got nothing.

Got thrown out of a great duck hole after some light shouting. I was a guest of the trespasser, so I did not say anything. Had I known the yeller was trespassing too, I'd have told him to GFH and continued the Gadwall slaughter.

I've never even came close to a fight in the outdoors

Did this by any chance happen in Coushatta?

I try to avoid confrontation especially when the people involved would be carrying guns

Few years ago when the bar fish were running good we were wearing them out. A bay boat loaded down with some guys we know that dont usually fish that area pulled up. No big deal. A lake local, and kinda "king" of the lake showed up and started catching. The guys in the bayboat told him to carry his arse. He proceeded to ram their boat, cuss everyone of them, then invite them back to the landing for an arse whipping. They never showed and eventually we found out they pulled their boat out on the other end of the lake to avoid it.

+1
Quick CSB, some random dude walked in the bar last night and wanted to fight me cause I bumped him when he passed. He kept asking me why I was getting in his face when I asked him if he was trying to fight. Then I said "Dude, why you mad? you just walked in this place, there's girls everywhere, and you wanna get kicked out by fighting me? Really? Why you so mad?"
He laughed, agreed, shook my hand and walked away.

Being nice....
We had a local in Leeville that tried to run us off of a deadend canal several years ago. We ended up having a talk with him, and he let us stay. To this day, if he spots us on the bayou, he goes out of his way to say hello. Half the time, he's giving us a handful of the flavor of the day artificial that he's been catching on.
