Dude; that commercial with the Johnny Cash song is amazing. I've never played Prototype but I want to see that movie now.

From what I've read, the main character infected a soldier that came back from combat. Inbetween the time he came back and was infected he came home to the ruined city from the 1st game and discovered that his family had been infected and killed. That's a pretty poor summary though, I'm sure someone has it better than I did.

That's pretty much it. The new guy blames Mercer (the main character from Prototype) for the death of his sister. So he vows revenge and that is supposed to drive the main plot of the game.
I really enjoyed the first one, the plot wasn't amazing but it was a fun time waster and running all around NYC was fun.

IGN didn't give it a favorable review, stating that the story aspects built up in the trailer don't amount to squat in the game, you just blow shite up.

Yeah, it amounts to just going to location A and beating the hell out of some people/things and then repeating it at location B/C/D. It's a shame if true because those were hard-hitting trailers.
