This kid is unranked on Rivals

..Yet, on ESPN he is a 4* player who is ranked #139 in the nation (Ahead of every current LSU commit).

On both sites the kid is shown to only have 1 offer, which is from La Tech, and he is listed as a 6'2" offensive lineman- so it seems a bit fishy that he would be a top 150 player nationally.
Does anyone know if this kid is a sleeper/about to blow up, or is this just a matter of ESPN just being stupid again??

Well, I actually think he is very good. I had him in my projected signing class thread a couple months back. I have said from the beggining he should be our take at center.

He doesn't look to be 6'6" but he is certainly tall enough at 6-2/6-3.

He's an arse-kicker on the film.

Chris Taylor - Zachary HS

Has some nice blocks against current LSU prospects.

Don't know if ESPN or RIVALS is more wrong, but he can definitely play in the trenches.

He is a good player. No one I've seen has ever questioned his ability as a player but he is limited in terms of potential. He basically is what he is. Of course he can get better in terms of technique and overall level of play but he isn't ever going to develop into any better than a solid player at the SEC level. His size indicates C but there is a lot more to playing C thanjust blocking ability. Other than QB, Mike LB and maybe free safety in certain defenses, there isn't a more mental position than C. I personally have always like him as a player on film but recruiting is about upside and college production and he is very limited in that aspect imo.

No way he's a better prospect(not necessarily player) than Josh Boutte. Boutte has NFL potential and Taylor doesn't. Either way congrats to the kid. I hope it leads more schools to take a good look at the kid. I'll always wish the best for LA kids aside from against LSU.
