If you know Kenny please respond with what you think. I think he is the best X and O coach in Louisiana High School Basketball. He always wins. He would be a great hire for LSU on court Assistant. Better than Starkey!

Played for him in the 80's at Lee high. Went to the state championship. Had loaded teams in the day... I was a scrub... lol. He would be an interesting hire at that position for sure.

Yep, I've been curious in the past why no LSU coach offered him a position as an assistant. I'm also not sure where the a-hole talk is coming from. I never had a bad encounter with him.

Same. Had him for 1st hour PE my senior year at Woodlawn and he was never a dick to me and I even gave him reason to get pissed a couple times.

He was always cool to me. Maybe because I was one of "his guys".

He could come off like that but he was a great coach. I played my freshman year when he asked me to tryout. I lost interest and just quit going to practice without telling him I quit. I was like Peter in Office Space-didnt quit, just didn't go anymore.

Let's just say he made sure to aggressively ask me if I had quit after I didn't show up for practice after a week or so!

Played against his Woodlawn teams for 4 straight years (96-99). He was always nice and respectful towards me even as competition.

On that note, he was a good x's and o's coach. I know we never beat them in 4 years, probaly went 0-14 vs them in 4 years in district, tournaments etc..

They were wild those years.
