After working this bird for 4 straight mornings, killed him this morning using a B-Mobile Strutting decoy. He didn't like another tom strutting around his hood.

10 3/4 beard 1 3/8 spur 22 1/2 lbs. many cuss words, and a few head shakes.
I get obsessed with a bird when he whips my arse a few times. I will hunt him until I kill him, or season closes.

Just called this bird in for a buddy of mine, his first bird. Birds wouldn't come out of a cedar thicket due to some rain, so we went in. A few soft calls later....

Good looking bird, Congrats!

I see a number of guys working gobbler decoys on this site. In my more than a decade of turkey hunting I've never used a gobbler decoy. To be honest, I could probably count the number of times I've used a decoy of any sort on one hand. I guess I've been missing out.

Whereabouts are you in TN? I'll be hunting outside of Mulberry in a few days..

It's done here in Central FL too.

The hunting season started a full month too late...

Giles County,Tn. Birds gobbling good here on the roost, hen'd up here right now, so minimal gobbling after fly down. This is the time of year I use a strutting decoy. Dominate birds react unbelievable when they spot it, can't stand to see a another Tom in his strut zone.

I'll be right next door in Lincoln County.

Good to hear they are still gobbling. Hopefully the boys and girls will break up a bit before I arrive.

Great hunting in Lincoln County. Good luck, and bring you a strutter, you won't be disappointed! The birds that do come in will have some hooks! I have hunted turkeys in Tennessee for 23 years, and it's as good now(better really) than it has ever been.Good luck, and let me know how you faired!
