UT should be ashamed...with all the $$$ Texas has, Baylor is better at all three sports going back to last football season! i love it.

Dare I say that Baylor is tops in the nation when factoring in the "big three" sports? There's no competition when if you include women's basketball...

what say you?

so far it's to their advantage.

I started following collegiate athletics as soon as I was old enough...around 1993. Baylor was always a laughing stock. Not anymore. I just love the cycles in college athletics (as long as LSU is on top)

Sample size, mother fricker. You're talking about one season. Historically, which is stronger? Come on, man.

and yet UT has one of the largest endowments in the nation at $17 billion while Baylor is closer to $1 billion.

it's all good at the University of Texas, and i doubt that they are ashamed at anything at all, bro

Baylor football is an RGIII anomaly. Money they will be mediocre without him. Baylor has always had a few good BAsketB teams. My recollection of Baylor growing up is they always had good track teams.

They'll make at least some crappy Independence-level bowl until Briles leaves. Lyles and Flenory are hooking them up with legit talent.

They weren't world beaters. But they have been competitive.especially when they weren't killing each other.

They went 38 years without making the tourney, made one, then took another 20 year break.

I'd say the men's team has come a long way since players were murdering one another.

Probably should have been worse. Interesting that if that had been UT doing it, probably would have been. Good ole' NCAA

I thin kthe cheating allegations is just typical Texas whining. Baylor's not supposed to be good so it's so unfair they are -- therefore, they must be cheating.

The NCAA just finished a pretty thorough investigation of basketball and they found too many phone calls and text messages. So, Baylor is as corrupt as a high school girl. For that investigation to turn up so little is as close to vindication as the accused can ever hope to get. Football? You think Art Briles is cheating? Really?

Baylor can compete because they have a lot of money, Texas has a deep talent pool that can support a lot of premier schools, luck, great coaches, and a terrific track program which draws atheltic "toolsy" prospects in each sport.

Baylor's success isn't coming at UT's expense, really. It's coming at Tech's. Texas just had a down year. Tech is hosed. They've been historically behind Baylor and their Golden Age resulted in no conference titles in either big sport. Baylor's rise coincides with Tech's fall.

As far as fan opinions go, I've personally heard much more accusations of cheating from LSU fans than Texas fans (I actually know about an equal amount).
