Good times at State Palace. Not long after this thread started, I found a CD labeled Escapades and it was some live set, maybe the house DJ recorded. Pure awesomeness.

But the thread was started in 2012. We should know better by now. Also, by 1999 we mostly knew the difference between genres. Plus the vocals in house music always let you know what you're listening to.

I have a ton of stuff from the NOLA area dating back to around 85. We need to do some trading.

Yeah I'm currently trying to figure out what's what. Americans think all EDM is techno. I can tell the difference between trance and house, but I can't really explain what it is. But even then, there's progressive house, progressive trance, psy trance, deep house, uplifting trance, hardcore trance, electro house, techno, drum and bass, breaks, dubstep, gabber, chillout/ambient, vocal trance, etc.
