Renting a house with foundation damage

I'm sure that obvious foundation damage has a huge hit on re-sale value of a house, but I'm wondering if it can be expected to have a significant impact on rental value, given that a tenant won't be saddled with eventual repair costs but will have to deal with the superficial effects.

I don't see how it would be an issue unless the damage makes the place shitty to live in. rent is rent....as long as its safe.
