I don't know if they have these in Louisiana but there was a movie rental store named "Hollywood Video" around here but they went out of business last year. I was paid in full before they went out of business.
Today I received a letter from A.R.M. solutions saying that I owe them $236.76 for movies that I don't even remember renting and for video games (I don't have a video game system).
I decided to investigate and found many people on the internet saying the same thing. On their (A.R.M.) website it even says that if I don't pay the fee it will not be reported to credit agencys.
Here is that link LINK
I have a credit score in the high 700s so I am thinking about paying it anyway just to be safe. What would you guys do?

Then I definitely would not pay it.

Would not pay. Sounds like a scam.

I'm no attorney, but I would certainly agree with this.

a rental store debt hit on credit would be next to nothing on your credit anyway and easily explainable. don't pay it.

You also need to file a dispute with the credit reporting agencies to make sure it doesn't impact your credit.

I returned a video in the drop box that didn't get logged into their system (Hollywood Video). The store manager even checked after I got the first letter and confirmed it was in the store. I spent two years dealing with their collection agency over a $120 charge. Finally paid it and it still ended up on my credit report.
One of only two negatives I've ever had.

Ask them the names of the movies, and if they are x-rated.....just pay it all off, really quick.

Send them a debt validation letter. There are some examples on the interwebz.
If they fail to validate the debt and continue to contact you, tell them to f* off or you'll get an attorney.
