Many young gays who were raised in the church feel that being gay is a sin (because the church says that). They figure that going into the church will prevent them from acting on these "sinful" tendencies.
They are wrong. They were born that way and it was not a choice.
However, when they get there, I would suppose they find many people of like mind...
