I wonder what Favre's bounty payout was on this hit?

Favre Crackback Block

And for more hits like that:

James Harrison Killing Players

Ryan Clark Destroying Wes Welker

Adrian Peterson Taken Out at the Knees, Ponder Smashed in the Head

Matt Forte Taken Out At the Knees

You would expect this to be all Saints highlights with the way the media portrays them as being the illegal hit mafia with the intent to injure...

Yet, if these were Saints plays it would have comments saying things like "CHEATERS BOUNTYYYY"! The hit Sharper put on Kevin Faulk for instance, perfectly legal, yet full of ridiculous comments.

Just stop. The Saints are the only rough guys in the NFL.

Yes, this is sarcasm.

Even worse is that Favre's hit came in a PRESEASON game.

Completely vicious! And I love it!

Anyone seeing the ESPN "examples" of Saints "bounty" hits?

You'd think it would be stuff like I posted above. Instead, it's harmless crap like Harper hitting Steve Smith high and pushing him down after the TD. Big deal!

I keep waiting on the roughing the passer penalty against Cam Newton when he was hit with the ball still in his hands

Yeah Really, how many players of the opposing teams did the Saints "bounty" players actually knock out of the games in the last few seasons...dont think you need both hands to count!...

I can't even remember the last time the Saints knocked out a QB for the rest of the game. Anyone?

Ah, yes, that game led to a lot of whining from the Titan's players about the saints being dirty.

We didnt knock Hasselbeck out of that game, though. His old age knocked him out.

He dropped back and screwed his achiiles up without being touched.

Clark would have made about $1,500 on this one.

True.

That hit was illegal as hell fwiw. He hit Welker in the head, when he was defenseless, and the ball wasn't even present. I don't think he's a dirty player, it was just a bad decision.

They are pretty funny. If I was ESPN, I would have picked different hits, because the only questionable one is the Harper hit you're talking about, and that was a simple fine... not even suspension worthy.

The Harper hit was dumb and unsportsmanlike, but not dangerous.
