I'll be in the Plano/Frisco area for work next week, any recomendations for restaurants? Staying near Legacy Shops, but i can go wherever. I'd prefer local places if possible.

Legacy is the tits. I went to Gordon Biersch and sat at the bar and enjoyed the scenery and had a pretty good meal there. Their beer is pretty good and the bartender will let you sample all of them. I ended up ordering the GB hefe and really enjoyed it

There's also a place where you go pick a rice bowl and add whatver protein and veggies you want that's really good

Chains as far as the eye can see interrupted only by the minimalist beauty of repeating residential rooftops. Lovely on a spring day.

check out Whiskey Cake. it's about a mile south of Legacy in front of a Kroger. never been but I've heard it's great

ETA: stay away from that rice bowl place. not really that good. If you like Thai, Samui Thai in Legacy is one of my favorites.

For Asian, check out Chow Pacific Rim. For Italian, Fino's Italian Bistro. For pizza, Fireside Pies in Legacy.

You are already in the best area of Plano/Frisco for dining and entertainment. Google shops at legacy and there are many dining options. Mi Cocina is solid for tex-mex and usually a decent HH scene. It's a local chain so some peeps will trash it.

I think there's a Bob's steakhouse there which is a favorite of many.

There may be some hidden gems in the rest of Plano, but it and Frisco can be aptly described as miles of strip malls and breeding pens of the corporate working world..
