Do you mean EPL? English Premier League. Go for Wolverhampton even though they will be relegated at season's end. Otherwise, pick a team that no one on the board is a fan of like Stoke (many posters will hate you), Wigan, or West Brom.

When I first started watching EPL, I just watched a ton of matches and chose a club whose style of play I liked.

Very boring team to watch. For the sake of parity, please pick a club not named Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea.

They are very physical, they play a boring style of football, they are not technically gifted, they seem to cause injuries to opposing teams, and Shawcross and others are thugs. However, they use their inferior talent wisely by taking long shots, having monster throws-in, and basically try to score on set pieces and headers. I respect the frick out of them for trying to take advantage of a fairly tough situation, but they are scum, especially their low class fans (imagine tards from Bama/Arkansas).

Don't be influenced by anybody on this board. Just watch plenty of teams and figure out which ones you enjoy. Almost everybody on this board is an Arsenal, 'Pool or Chelsea supporter it seems.

Taiwainese buttfrickers. I heard their team work and ball handling is amazing.

In all honestly I say go with Newcastle. We only have one magpie here and it would help with parity on the board. The club has a decent history and is a lot of fun to watch. Most importantly it's on the up and up and will be challenging the top 4 consistently for the next few years.

Southampton and West Ham are going to be promoted this year, along with Reading or Birmingham (most likely) West Ham will likely be the only one to stick around for more then a season or two

If I were you, I'd pick Newcastle. Or Swansea. They've got a good little club.

as a long time man city fan, i suggest you don't pick one club as your initial club and stick with them regardless. it may take a few seasons and clubs to find the one you like

Honestly, just watch a bunch of games and then choosing your favorite. You can choose on style, players, kits, history, city, etc. It's your decision. Because we're getting close end of the season, I'd recommend trying to narrow it down to several teams based on whatever your criterion is and then you can choose which team to support over the summer for the new season. You'll probably be drawn to at least 1 or 2 teams. Like others said, Newcastle and Swansea would both be solid choices. They're performing much better than most expected to. Newcastle is sitting at a solid 6th place and Swansea was promoted this season and is currently in 11th but only 4 points off of 7th. Swansea's tactics are really fun to watch and their style of play is pretty similar to Barcelona's. Both teams seem to have a bright future. These two clubs aren't shown as regularly as the top 5 + Liverpool, but soccer with fsc you can get most games and you'll always be able to use the internet too. If you choose a top 5 team, some may call you a bandwagon fan. I would ignore that in your selection process. Unless if you're 130 years old, you are a bandwagon fan to some degree. There are no guarantees about how a team will perform next season.
