I talked with some LSU fans at a wedding up here in Memphis tonight. The token Bama fans even admitted they didn't want any part of the Tigers this year. Who else is stoked for 2012, the year of the Tiger!?

We have a shot at something really special again. This will be the most anticipated season in my lifetime. It's the first time we're actually returning a truly complete team.

And do what get up to play North Texas?
Why can't our fans get excited about playing a very good football team and playing in possibly the biggest game of the year again?
It's part of what makes college sports, especially football, special. The many new, old, and natural rivalries.

If Mett turns out to be 1/2 as good as most on this board expect I'm very excited.
I fear under all the hype, projections of greatness and inflated expectations Mett will be human. Most anything will be better than what we had the last several years. So I am hopefully optimistic.

I'm headed to watch the game today. Mett will be really good. I've been to a couple practices and we've seen him play in the one game. Its really hard at practice to tell but he sure looks like he has the IT factor. He doens't have JaMarcus arm, he can't run as well as many of our prior QB's but he is pretty damn good in all areas -- I really believe he will be the best QB we've had in a long, long time.
I said last year that we could win it all even with the schedule. Well, we were right there and laid an egg. Its only spring and we will obviously have to see if we have some leadership on the team but from what I've seen our overall team is much better. We really don't have any weakness on the team. Or at least our biggest weakness the last couple years was in the most important position -- its really tough to win games with someone under the center as bad our last 4 years have been at QB
