| Alleva: Tiger Stadium Expansion Renderings Coming Soon (Posted on 3/29/12 at 11:49 am)
I sent Alleva an email asking about the project and why there hasn't been any renderings released yet. This is his short response:
quote:
There will be renderings of the proposed stadium expansion coming soon.
I wonder how soon is "soon". Either way, at least we won't be in the dark about what to expect with the expansion.

With this expansion, we aren't going to be much closer to 100k are we?

That looks nice, but from the drawings i saw months ago (losing bidder so dead design) you cant have a symmetric end zone. The SW corner is too close to the street for the structure, so it cant match the SE corner. Plus you have a lot of underground utilities there that cant be rerouted easily.

I think it's going to look retarded if they don't go all the way up with the east and west uppers... I really wish they would just leVe it alone rather than half assed additions.

Why? with a completely new design? or keep the current look and feel just brand new? Where would you want it to be put?

Death Valley could seat 110,000 for Bama, Fla, Auburn, UGA, Ut, etc.2) huge screens 3) more pumped in hip-hop music Doubt that, if anything I hope it's Eye of the Tiger, La Sat. Night, or Calling BR only. 4) higher ticket prices Maybe 5) purple field turf On April 1. yep.. sounds just like the LSU I grew up with. :tradition:
People are worried about empty seats for non-televisied games against weenie teams, when some of the great LSU traditional songs aren't even played anymore by TGBFTL ????

The street can be realigned and utilities relocated, we do it everyday here; just a matter of cost!

Yes I recall that.

So you're saying if and when they close off the south endzone they won't have to replace the grass with turf due to lack of sunlight?
