Any of you guys headed to the camps this weekend? I'm leaving work and heading down this evening. Planning to run south and fish Pelto area. Anyone else?

I headed to the camp tomorrow or possibly saturday morning. I am going to hit pelto and Bay St. Elaine as well. Hope this wind stays under 12 mph and it should be easy pickings.

Some a-hole I know down there bought a 31' Scarab w/ twin 250hp yamahammers. Watch out for him. If it's out of the shop, I bet he is dying to show it off. Just beware, he's a crazy S.O.B.

I am heading down tomorrow evening. Going to fish pelto as well probably. I haven't done much/if any fishing in March in the past so I'm not sure what to expect.

How far south do you run this time of year?

The last reports I heard, the fish have not made it to the island yet. They are still in the lakes on their south ward march. I am more of a dularge guy and the fished are still stacked in Mechant and sister. I would think the furtherst we will have to go would be to the sulfur mine but I am going to fish the reefs toward the west side of pelto and St. Elaine.

I'll be down there. I'm itching to get into Pelto--it's only a 10 minute run from my camp. If the winds kick up, I'll probably run over to Sister lake. Otherwise, I'll be in the sulfur mines, at Last Isle or at some platforms.
I'll be in a 19 Mako with a blonde and maybe my dog if he's lucky.
ETA: there's a real strong incoming tide all day Saturday. How does that affect the way you guys fish, if at all?
