How well do these 4 final teams travel especially a huge game like the final four? Is having Kansas,KU,Louisville, and Ohio St there the equivalent to having LSU, Bama, Texas, and say Ohio St all traveling for a football game. I'm assuming NOLA will be rocking this weekend. Thinking about just going down on saturday for the party.

Kentucky will be by far the majority. With the other three bringing up the rear. I'd imagine Louisville will travel the worst only because they have by far the smallest fan base of the 4. But I don't think OSU travels all that well for basketball, but I could be wrong.

kentucky

kansas

ohio state and louisville

if it was in the midwest or west, kansas would be the majority with kentucky close behind. everywhere else, it's gonna be kentucky with kansas relatively close behind. not "bringing up the rear" by any means. kansas fans owned san antonio in '08 and they might make a run in nola although that is more KY territory. we'll see.

I didn't mean it like that. Kansas will have the second most by far.

Alumni packages sold out quickly. Tickets through the athletic department sold in minutes. Packages through travel agents range from $2809 4 night air package, per person to $2109 land package per person. If you do 4 to a room the air is $1969 and land is $1269. Land does NOT include transportation from Columbus so you have to get yourself there

Trips include the usual - 4 night hotel, transfer airpot to hotel, hotel to Superdome, taxes/gratuities, Buckeye Bash on Saturday afternoon, etc.

It's really hard to predict how well fans will travel. OSU spring break was last week so a lot of students may not have the funds to go and even if they can get to NOLA, affording a ticket may be another issue.

I haven't seen the numbers this year, but Louisville was #3 in average attendance behind UK and Syracuse last year. I went to the 1st and 2nd rounds in Birmingham several years back when LSU was there and Louisville had a ton of fans at those games. They'll be closer to KU than KU will be to UK. Ohio State will travel well too. It is a very good draw for New Orleans. The worst draw ever had to have been Mason, Florida, LSU and UCLA in Indianapolis.

well any combo of teams in indianapolis is a bad draw...

but UK, KU, tOSU, and UL is one of the best draws possible

doesnt get all that much better. uk, ku, duke, and unc would be too perfect, but the ville and osu are probably on the next tier with a handful of others.

I would think you're correct that NOLA will be rocking, all 4 teams should show and lots of casual fans should like those match-ups

I highly doubt it. I don't think people realize how incredibly small Louisville's fan base is.

The Louisville metro area has a pop of 1.4 million, and Louisville's fan base is only around half that. They don't have any fans outside of Louisville, so that's all they have.

Thanks, thats pretty much what I thought. I figured UK would travel the best especially after seeing how many fans they brought to the PMAC for the LSU game but I didn't know about the other 3 just that KU and Louisville have a solid basketball tradition and loyal fan base.
