a backseat in the running back derby. Seems like quite a few folks had already written him off. From the article that Jim Kleinpeter(nola.com) wrote a couple of days ago and the performance he had yesterday(albeit a scrimmage), it appears he's not ready to hand over the reigns to any of the other guys. He's dropped weight and it sounds like he's running hard.

He had some nagging injuries and added weight that took it"s toll late season and luckily we had guys who were ready to step up. It's unreal, just how loaded we are at the running back position.

He doesn't have very good vision, but he hits hard.

His biggest issue after the auburn suspension was he'd take a hand off and put his head down immediately running into the back of the oline

Nothing was said about Ford. If I'm not mistaken I think he is nicked right now.

Here's a quote from Miles.

"What we're doing is really giving him the most amount of time to get healthy," Miles said. "But we expect him to be very healthy when we come to next fall. It's a knee, but it's not a ligament. It's not major in any way."

I'd like to know where they're going to fit all these backs.

Ware
Ford
Hilliard
Blue
McGee
Hill

We've read that Blue could move, but the guy had a 6.7 ypc avg. yesterday in the scrimmage and one of the better RB's on the team.

Miles came out yesterday and said that Hill was not going to Redshirt.

This offense has the capability to be ridiculous next year. With this lineup and the defense having to play the run most of the time.....you don't even really need Mett to do much.

Ridiculous.

Ware had great vision early on. Go to Lesmiles.net and watch some of the highlights. He is an absolute bruiser. If this is true and he did cut weight man I feel sorry for the opposing team. He straight crushed mother frickers int the florida and Tennessee games. When he got hurt and suspended I think he lost some confidence. Plus he did look like he lost a step later int he year

Last year it seemed he was looking to hit someone, rather than looking to make someone miss. That paid off late in games as teams got tired of being run over by him, but he'll be a better back if he gets back to looking for the opening rather than someone to run over.

Compared to the other guys that post here, its harder for me to pick a favorite. I really like all of our backs. They each have their own running style.

Agree with that. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. It's a fine collection of backs as a group, we're fortunate to have them.

We are so blessed with rb's, they are all good. Each has his own stile but with a qb we will have a great offense.

My guess is that Blue will be the most coveted of the current backs by NFL scouts. That doesn't necessarily make him the best back for Miles' system.

You could be right. As much as everyone seems to put him aside, he just keeps getting better and better. I have really grown to like him and want to see more of him.

You my boy Blue!!

this is the RB equivalent of JJ "winning" the QB job last year. Miles plays who Miles likes. He loved JJ, he loves Ware. End of story.
