These player suspensions can really screw up the season, and the Saints can't make certain moves until they know who is suspended, for how long, and how it will affect the cap.

I've seen some people mention this, but why hasn't it been discussed more? This is a big deal. Our defense isn't that good to begin with...how the hell are the Saints going to do with back ups playing?

It has been discussed a lot, but not in detail or most people just say the Saints will still do well because of the offense.

Not really the case because you have to have somewhat of a decent defense, and this could be disastrous.

Seems a lot of people are downplaying the impact...and where is the outrage for how long it is taking to be announced? That's f*cking this team even more by the day.

This is what I predict for the suspensions. I know no one really cares, but I will predict anyway.

Vilma: 8 weeks or the season.
Harper: 6 weeks
Smith: 6 weeks
Greer: 6 weeks or more if he keeps speaking out against the suspensions.
Shanle: Nothing he never hit anyone and having him on the field is a punishment.

I would have said less on all of this a week ago, but now who the hell knows what that count will do.

Black and Gold to the Superbowl.

Could be worse and more players. Who knows what this a-hole will do at this point. Backups will be starting and then when some of them get hurt...oh shite, this could get ugly.

I know it could and will be more, but I was just naming a few big ones. I just pray he lets us space out the suspensions instead of all at once.

I can see Vilma & Harper getting suspended but why Will Smith? Bobby McCray would be the only D-lineman who you would think would be suspended but I don't even know if he plays anymore.

I don't think Greer will be suspended

I am just thinking at anyone who was a major part of the D that has been around the whole time GW was here will get a little something for being a part of it. I think Goodell may see's it as they knew about and didn't try to stop it.

Vilma will be the scapegoat. I could see a season long suspension for him. Harper has a reputation for personal fouls so I would think he has a good chance to miss time. Greer shouldn't miss any time.

I am concerned about it, but it doesn't make sense to speculate at this point. Just be cool and wait until we see the penalties. Then we can get back to meltdown mode around here.

Smith because he is a co-captain of the defense, and most likely went along with the bounties.

Really the only ones we would miss significantly would be Greer, and Jenkins.

I fully expect Vilma, Harper, Jenkins, and possibly Smith to get suspended.

We all thought Payton would get 4-8 games MAX, and it was 4X-2X that.

So whatever you think the players might get adjust accordingly. Of course if it's ruled an on field violation they could appeal to someone not named Goodell.

why Jenkins? He was a rookie when this was implemented.

Really it all depends on who Greg Williams implicates.

With his indefinite suspension, he has to cooperate to ever have a hope of getting back in the NFL.

I imagine player suspensions will be mostly factored on what Williams says. If he says Jenkins was a bounty hunter than put him in the suspended group, rookie or not

Yeah, there is that. I just don't recall him getting flagged for personal fouls or fined like McCray was.

Good god, imagine the starting lineup in the secondary if that happened. You'd have P-Rob and Johnny Patrick at CB. Who would be the nickel CB?

The safety position looks to be screwed anyway, hopefully Greer doesn't miss any time.

No I cannot.

Jenkins had to cover for everyone else trying to collect bounties and took alot of flak for being put on an island constantly. If he gets suspended that's more egregious than the SP penalties.
