Thanks on both counts...

Never fished the 7" fluke

Will try the crankbaits..

May night fish if the day bite is slow.

My buddy loves fishing Rogues.

I can't wait until the Ribbet bite is on.
My favorite time to fish.

That is incredible, I went for the 4th of July and it was the lowest I have ever seen it, been fishing there for 15+ years.

Glad it's back up though, I'll probably be making a trip during Easter Break.

In November it was 159.5.
People were saying it may be 5-10 years before launches would re-open.
Then we get the rain described by experts as once every 100 years.
In 5 months the lake is back to 170 and probably higher after the runoff.
I've been 3 times in 6 weeks and what we saw 6 weeks ago is several feet under water now..
Someone did some hard praying me thinks.

AlxTgr: I turned on my avatars and saw that Murphy's shirt. You make me want to get in the attic and see if I can locate a Christmas in August....

I'm at Toledo now, and judging by all the creeks I saw pouring in on the way to our camp, the lake is gonna be over full and into flood stages within the next day or so. It rose a foot just since yesterday, and I'd be willing to bet it'll be up at least another foot tomorrow.

Is there a schedule or way to find out in advance when the turbines are turned on? I want to fish for stripers.

Fished last weekend for 1 1/2 day in the Hausen and Indian Mound area. Caught a bunch of fish. Bigger fish were a little deeper. Senkos and Flukes mostly. I know early in the week last week (when the water was rising) they were very shallow, and then once the water leveled out, they pulled back off.

Going back this weekend for a club tourney. Hopefully catch them again!

I still have it. Probably some cups too. The "I miss Murpheys" group on FB has some cool pics.

Dad was up there this week.

Water got super muddy. But Monday they kept 14 most around 4-5 pounds on frogs.

After that it went downhill with the weather.
Picking up small ones.

Can you throw frogs anywhere other than in and around grass or lillies?
