Are you in favor of firing all the coaches who ran bounty systems?

Yes, and with greater expediency for those who did it and lied to the NFL about it.

You know that would be over half the NFL, and thats not feasable.

How so?

Coaching in the NFL does not take a genius. There are thousands of competent football coaches and managers who could do it. Some people place these coaches on too high a pedestal. They are replaceable.

I've been called all three, but the reasons for replacing Payton -- ethical considerations and the practical need to move on -- outweigh the arguments to keep him. With Payton as our future head coach, the Saints hang an albatross around the franchise's neck.

Payton, McCarthy, Belichick. You cannot replace these guys. You're a fool if you think otherwise. Dumbass.

Yeah, trouble is finding them..which takes many years and millions of dollars. When you do find a coach that can lead your team to the superbowl, kicking him out the door for allowing a harmless (and yeah, it was harmless..if the opportunity presented it's self during a game any Defensive player would knock the shite out of the offense to make highlight reels on ESPN, etc.)"bounty" program to go on, which in reality is more of a "boys will be boys" type of thing would be beyond pussy. The "statement" Goodell wanted to make is horseshite..

I like to keep it simple. Depends on what colors you like though.

Really, mate? This isn't even Joe Paterno level shite. Do you know how many teams have done this? I can almost guarantee they all have and until now still did. The problem is that the Saints didn't shelf it for a bit when they came snooping and lied. Lying is not a reason to fire a coach, and the coach who instilled the whole thing isn't even a coach here anymore!

Hey TulaneLSU:

Maybe you should fire the Green Wave coach Curtis Johnson. He did come from the Saints you know!

The NFL's stance on this crap is the most hypocritical thing I have seen in sports in years. Best tweet of the day by BillRomanowski

"Maybe there should be a bounty program on members of the league who have buried data on brain injuries for years. #hypocrisy"

This is a knee jerk reaction to the lawsuit being filed by those 45 players. Nothing more, nothing less. The NFL couldn't give a rat's arse about these players health or they would have done something about concussions and head injuries years ago instead of pretending like they didn't know. It's farcical. And ESPN, with their hand in the NFL's money bag are just gas canning this whole thing on the Saints. Its a media attack run rampant with nothing in mind but to make the league look good for this lawsuit.
I guess everyone will just play "softer" next year? what a fricking joke.
I guess you'll have to ban incentives on guys getting a high number of sacks or "knockdowns" and "Pancakes". How is that any different if your ONLY concern is player safety?

Its a joke and the Saints are the punching bag. There are 31 other teams right now deleting emails, burning notes and breathing a big freaking sigh of relief cuz this type of stuff is league wide. Not so coordinated, but its there informally. I guess ain't nobody taking any teammates out for dinner for a really good game anymore...well at least til this lawsuit is settled.

I'll be waiting for the NFL to claim the rights to these shirts.
