K- he has been cleared by his DRs to play football, but isnt that only relating to his throwing ability? He hasn's been practicing full conytact? Correct?

Shouldn't that be the biggest concern for the teams too? Like, what happens when he gets hit numerous times a game? He had FOUR neck surgeries....forget throwing,I would be worried about more serious injuries.

I keep hearing the talking heads discuss him but no one mentions the biggest issue (IMHO)

Teams don't usually worry about their qb's getting hit. If you have enough receivers on the field running, then there's no way the defense can even get to the qb in the first place. They'll be too busy counting receivers and running backwards.

I've had the same injury and surgery (1 of them). Doc told me it was limitless what I could do, just stay away from high impact activities like skydiving etc for the first year. To be honest it limits me somewhat and I'm not exactly an NFL QB, but there are mornings when I feel what ever I did the day before. I can only imagine what he is going to feel and he won't have any idea of what to expect until it happens.

I think it raises some good questions about Brees.

since 2 of the 3 comments snark about the relation to the Saints, I could continue the diatribe and draw to a comparison of relation bc of his dad, or the a commonality of playing at the same levels or the potential of playing him this year or go back edit my question or topic by saying " Potential Saint opponent" blah blah

But, I can't imagine the aforementioned points to be genuinely debated by a sunday afternoon tigerdropping crowd....i guess I will wait until the normal white COLLAR ( i think that is how to spell it) crowd goes back to "work" on monday and see if they have a more stimulating point....

Bravo. Couldn't have said it better myself. There are a lot of self righteous sheep around here. Can't talk about something out of the box can we? Huh? Too afraid to make the leap through the wormhole are we?

This place is turning into the GAP crossed with the rant crossed with the Housewives of Canton, OH.

Brees is only a play away from having the same neck injury.

I'm too lazy to search on my phone, but last I heard doctors cleared him for FULL contact and I think the doctor said something along the lines of"if he was my son I would tell him to play".

Dude, where have you been? It's been terrible around here. We really could have used you around here this past season.
