Basketball Season over who do we get?

First off many thanks to Bubba Hotep! I don't follow recruiting and without his posts I would know nothing. So anything I say is just what I have gleamed from his knowledge.
I know we already have one signee, Malik Morgan, a 6'3" shooting guard who can probably play a little backup point guard also. Who else are we going to get?
We definitely need a backup Power Forward to play behind JOB now that Storm has graduated. I think Trent has to sign a 6'8" strong guy that can at least rebound and play defense.
Bubba says we have offered the following players:
Norvel Pelle (C/PF, 6-10, 210)
Orlando Sanchez (PF, 6-8, 210)
Jason Carter (PF, 6-8, 220) Chipola J.C.
From what I read I would be surprised if we get either Pelle or Sanchez. They have other offers from teams who have more basketball prestige than us at the present time. Norvel - UConn, UNLV and Sanchez - Georgetown, St. Johns, Baylor, Providence, Miss. State and Texas A&M. It would tough if either of them end up on another team in our conference but in any case it looks to me like not us.
So it looks like we really need to get Jason Carter who has also been offered by Missouri, a good team who will be in our conference, and Texas Tech who is similar to us in prestige. If we don't get him it looks like some very low ranked payer will be a liability although you never know.
Hopefully we get Hammink at SG which will be great because we need someone with height who can score and beat out Stringer. Shavon Coleman would also be wonderful but when you look at who we are competing against probably not much chance there.
So it looks like not a lot of help on the way. Let's hope Morgan bears up to his press clippings and we can get a big body who will improve and be a surprise. Hammink would put some icing on the cake.
Otherwise let's hope JOB and Turner improve a great deal and really work on their games over the summer and Hamilton hits the weight room as he has shown to not strong enough the last third of the season. And please don't let them be in foul trouble often or it could get ugly.

Rumor has it that many tiger insiders believe Gathers ends up at LSU. My dream class.
1.Morgan
2.Gathers
3.The European kid.

Just added Barnett Harris to the 2012 board. I've heard he may have an offer. Has some nice youtube video and looks like a nice prospect. He is an unranked 6-10 power forward from Pittsburgh with offers from Duquesne where his father played, and Penn State, among others.

Bubba talked to someone inside the team at the game today. They are saying Hammink is coming and once again said two Juco guys, similar to what Jordy said yesterday

Cool. We really need Coleman. He is really what this team was missing this year. A solid 3-man. I hope he is one of them.

Unfortunately they didn't have names. I am hoping that they are misconstruing Pelle and a JUCO, but with no visit known to anyone hard to believe TJ is that confident. Also we have the tall skinny coach who appears to do nothing during the games, why not replace him with someone who can recruit if the game day job is that small for the 3rd assistant.

If LSU can sign a couple of JUCO bigs, then signing this Barnett Harris kid would be OK, because he wouldn't have to play immediately and could develop, maybe even redshirt. He looks like he has a lot of skill. Excellent passer and has good moves. Not a high flyer, but appears athletic enough. Also looks like he's about 35 years old.

Also to touch on the Gathers comment, I asked about him to see what the feeling was after the comments. Seemed the feeling is the ship has sailed, and the kid had his hand out and we weren't playing that game.

I asked in a different thread and didn't get an answer. Who was that kid from oversea someone brought up? I think his dad played for LSU. Is he a realistic pickup?

Shane Hammink his dad Geert played for Dale Brown and was a 1st round pick for the Magic

Did he say one of the player is for California?

Thanks portcity. His youtube video is sick!

He didn't give any states on the JUCOs. Obviously I am hoping one is Pelle, but am with Bubba until he visits I am not gonna get too excited.

According my sources, this is exactly why he didn't come to LSU.
This falls in line with his comment right after his commitment to Baylor when he said that LSU just didn't try "hard enough"

I saw gathers play once and if the announcers wouldnt have kept calling his name you would have thought he was just some scrub. LSU will be fine without him.
