Mett's statements are something we are all watching.

Recently, this was one of the one's that caught my attention the most: "I have great pocket presence and I see things before they happen. I have to show the coaches that we can have a good passing offense."

I love this statement. The arm strength is rarely an issues for most SEC Qb's, so it comes down to accuracy, game management/leadership and these two all-important factors - pocket presence and field vision/anticipation. For him to balance the confidence with the practical statement about having to SHOW the coaches that we can have a good passing offense makes this form of confidence all the more impressive and refreshing.

Mett-confidence is a beautiful thing.

This statement shows that he's probably smarter than most of the coaches.

Yes, Mett, you'll have to sell your offense to The Hat.

Even SM99 praised Mett for his pocket presence and being shifty in the pocket during his interview.

Things are going to be so different in 2012. I cant hardly wait until we have competant QB play. We havent seen it 4 years. I never thought we would be so anemic at the position without any sign of fighting back. We seemed to try to mask and protect the weakness instead of getting someone else to fill the job. We will now have a QB that wont be handicapped or handcuffed. With the Defense that Chavis has built this team could be very fun to watch.

Dude we could have gotten, Jeremiah Masoli, Russel Wilson and Cam Newton DURING the JJ/JL era. Nice try though. I guess we will miss the 1st round pick we gave up for Mett in the draft.

Dude yes we could have. There was talk of Wilson having interest from LSU. Im saying ALL TRANSFERRED to NCAA DIV 1 SCHOOLS between 2008 and 2010. LSU could have RECRUITED them and I bet at least Masoli would have taken a strong look. ALL are better than what we had. Do you really not get that or are you just a frick who likes to argue ANYTHING?

And we didn't get Landon because he saw something in Alabama that he didn't see here. Recruiting is a CHOICE.

I hope he continues to let the stache grow. I'd like to see some handlebars for the Spring game!
