I am starting to like how the Saints are being viewed as the "bad boys." Basically it's us against the world.

I completely agree, the world against us mentality could be parlayed into a positive thing if coaching handles it correctly.

This raises a good question:

I know the first superbowl was the best thing ever etc.

I'd have to say, especially after this boatload of bullshite, superbowl in nola, even more years removed from our football god (katrina); this superbowl would be even sweeter.

By sweeter, I mean it wouldnt be as important or big in my life as the first one but would feel better.

I don't know if that makes any sense at all but it does to me haha

I can just see the shite eating grin of goodell as he hands over the trophy to the franchise he tried to destroy.

headline next offseason: Goodell discovers too much candy exchanges in saints locker room - set to take away free agency and draft picks for 2 years.

i kinda agree. i feel likes its because starting after katrina we were the darlings. everyone loved us, media loved us. rebuilding city, franchise, risky QB choice, first time head coach. everyone gave us a pat on the back and a smile.

now, everyone hates us. we are no longer the "feel good" story. we dont put a smile on peoples faces. if we won, it would be us saying, we dont give a frick, this is for us not you. i think its a pride thing.

the more they talk about "bounties", the more of our highlights get shown on the news, sportscenter, etc.

for an org. that drafts well, if they take picks away, hopefully it's not much of a difference. i'm not worried about fines bc it doesn't come out my pocket.

now suspend payton for half a season, then i might be a little worried

To which I say frick it. Whether you like to acknowledge it or not, the media for years now has seemed to have some sort of bias against the success of the Louisiana sports teams.

The Saints fans are still here and still love our team. I say if you're not with us you're against us. It'll make it all the more sweet when we win the SB in our home stadium.

With Al Davis gone and the Raiders continually sucking, the Saints are the new Raiders, the NFL is like pro wrestling and has to have sub plots, villains and heroes.

The media loved us as long as we weren't winning playoff games, a super bowl (legitimately against Manning's best team ever), and running up the score on NE teams.

Cowherd said it himself that the Lakers being bad is not good for basketball..The Yankees not winning is bad for baseball...The Giants or Patriots in the Super Bowl is "good" for football...

I think those opinions above summarize the mindset that creates the precedence for this emotional, clearly irrational diatribe unleashed on the Saints by this horribly biased media.

I agree that winning the next Super Bowl will be sweeter. It will be an ultimate Fck U! And it needs to be in the Superdome.

I can't wait to see our team saying this.
