Today's media is terrible.

You can see why they are viewed as rats by many. They are running with this with little facts to support. Throwing out possible punishments without actual facts. There is a big difference for payment of big hits and payment of injuries. Punishment will probably be worsened bc of coverup v. Actual issue at hand.
I would like to know of how many illegal hits we have been fined for during this period. That's what matters to me. The game of football involves the fact that one player is going to hit the opposing player as hard as he can legally! College players get stickers put on their helmets for it.

Yeah, I know we did something wrong, because Williams basically admitted it, but I'd like facts to see exactly what happened. I'm still not sure how you prove this. Are there documents or are they simply going off of what someone told them? And who the hell said something? But yeah, I think number of illegal hits should show that there are teams who are much worse than us in regards to this.

I don't have a link but some people are saying we lied whenever asked about it before.

Warner appeared headed for retirement even before the Saints knocked him from their playoff game with a devastating blindside block while Warner was trying to make a tackle. That play wound up being the final one of his career.
This little nugget from the linked article is flat out wrong. Did Warner even miss one play in that game? Oh well, let's not let facts get in the way of a sensational story.

The more I read the better I feel as a saints fan. HARD hits was just one way you could earn money, injury has never been stated as an award just if he had to miss a play or was carted off. If my football opinion and knowledge that is a huge difference. Players want to affect the game and if that player can hit a player like Brett Favre hard enough that it affects his performance well that is football! And if anyone disagrees then you don't know the sport. Illegally or seeking permenant injury to a player is a whole different story. If that was part of it then they deserve whatever penalty they get but I highly doubt it was. We will be punished bc we covered it.

What about these pos teams? Why go after the Saints?
That is what I don't understand.

Why go after the Saints?
because that's who they could get the most information on. because the saints are such a high profile team, especially in comparison to at least 5 of those 7 teams listed, that RG can make a solid statement here.

The facts of illegal hit fines do not have us out of the norm. We did have a lot of penalties but most of those are bc we blitz a lot and hit late but that is not not necessarily the same. A lot of face masks but that is different as well, no awards for stupid mistakes. Most of media is just jumping on band wagon and giving their moral high ground opinion without facts like a bunch of rats on scraps. I have heard some that have given respectable opinions but in far minority.
