So uhhhh, this Hugo movie, worth seeing or overrated? Because so far its The Academy Hugo Awards.

I have not seen it, but I have heard it is overrated and that it was great, from 2 people I know that saw it.
I have it coming on Blu Ray to watch it next week when it comes out, to see for myself.

Well it looks like its already getting mixed reviews. I like Scorsese but this is a big departure for him. And I think Chloe Grace Moretz is going to be a big time actress whens she's older. Probably gonna have to watch it.

It's a great movie but at the same time, its Oscar bait all the way. Beyond the main story line, it's an ode to classic cinema and the pioneers of the industry. It's the exact kind of thing that these people eat up.

And the vampire in Let Me In and (500) Days of Summer. She is money in everything she does and she's only 14. A lot of good, young actor and actresses are promising for the future of movies.

I liked it. Wasnt my favorite of 2011, but it was up there. IMO.

overall, i thought the movie was very meh
i thought the pacing was definitely the worst part about it. it never seemed to have a clear direction, and there were a lot of parts that lagged near the middle.
even someone like moretz, who i think is one of best child actresses working today, didn't really deliver for me
the movie looked stunning, the music was beautiful, but overall i felt that it was only nominated because of scorceses name, and the fact that it is a movie about the movies.
but everytime i see a trailer, it makes me want to watch it again.

saw it in theaters in 3d, i thought it was amazing, and was expecting it to win best picture

I liked it a LOT. It wasn't my favorite movie of the year, but it's in the top 3. But then it hits a lot of the things I like, old trains and train stations, movies, gears and mechanical things.
