Is there any way to freeze a gif from an Android?

I want to use a single frame from a gif to use as an avatar. Is there any way I can do this from my phone?

Screen cap while the gif is playing? That's the only way I can think of. Post the gif, one of the other Help Boardians will probably be able to do it for you.
