Found one at cabelas and it was about $300 in decent shape. new there are on sale for $360. I figure I could possibly negotiate it down for $260. So my question is, is that a fair price, or even a possibility to get an extra $40 off?

thanks

I doubt you would be able to talk them down over 10%. Maybe you could get it down to $280 or $290.

If it is in good shape $300 is a fair price IMO.

Which model Kahr pistol are we talking about? I'm guessing it's the CW40 as $340 is about right for a new one. (New CW40 is $344 at Cheaper than Dirt and $361 at Bud's Gun Shop.) If it's the CW40, $300 is a good starting price. Should be able to get them to come down some, but I doubt $40. Maybe they'll thrown in some ammo?

I bought a new CW45 last month for $329 (free shipping and no sales tax) and really like it. It's now my #1 cc gun.

Thanks for the info. It is the cw40. How's the recoil on that 45?

Recoil in the CW45 is not bad. Actually, the Kel-Tec P3-AT in 380 ACP seems to have more muzzle flip than the CW45; of course, recoil is more in the CW45. Muzzle flip in the CW45 seems a little more than in my 3 1/2" 1911 45 ACP. I saw a video on Youtube that compared the muzzle flip of the CW9, CW40 and CW45. The 9 had less muzzle flip than the others (no surprises there), but the 45 actually had less flip than did the 40.

The CW45 is a pleasure to carry. It's noticealby lighter than are my 1911's. Of course the DAO trigger is long, but not overly heavy. I think you'd like it as long is it fits your hand nicely.
