It's a shame we dropped two games to inferior competition.

we should do better in the future

I think we could possibly beat Florida if we played a good game in the tourney which could propel us in

If we win out that means we get a bye most likely. If we get matched up with Florida in our second game, that would essentially be a "win and in" game.

Thats like saying youd rather win the Indy bowl rather than lose a BCS bowl

a BIG concern on making the bubble is how many unexpected conference tourney winners there are. each one that gets that auto bid takes away our chances. happens every year. gotta win out and make some noise in tourney, but that still is no guarantee if some other surprise teams sneak in w/ tourney wins.

still think we gotta win at least 1 in the SEC tourney, quite possible even 2, in addition to winning out of course.

Man this team would be in so much better position if we didn't drop these two bad ones. 18-8, 6-6 in the SEC with no bad losses looks way better.

Also the only good win is really Marquette. Alabama aint that good and we only beat them when half the team was suspended.

Yes you're right, probably a better win than Bama even though they've been sliding as of late. Surprised they weren't mentioned in the article instead of bama.

Miss State is really getting themselves into some serious trouble lately. They have lost 4 in a row. How you finish always weighs a lot on the minds of the selection committee.

If they don't step it up they are getting left out.

Beating MSU may have been tougher for LSU since Alabama wasn't playing anywhere near full strength, but the Alabama win was "better" in terms of the selection process. Alabama has a better RPI and hasn't lost four straight. The Alabama win is a top 50 RPI win for LSU, MSU just top 100.

Assuming LSU gets a bye, the only way we get a matchup with Florida in the Semis is if UK falls to the #2 seed or Vandy falls to #4. Quite frankly, I don't see either one of those happening.

We're in the dance if we win out the regular season. If we do that, we would've won 8 of our last 9 and we'll finish 4th in the SEC. That should get us in. If we win a game in the SEC tournament, that would clinch it.

LSU doesn't deserve consideration to the NCAA tournament. What, another one and done? Our basketball team is lame and doesn't belong in the field of 64.
