Anyone here cooked ribs in an Orion Smoker before? Heard all the stuff about how the Orion is awesome, almost fail-safe. Gonna a give it a go Saturday. Anyone have any tips, recipes, etc...? It looks pretty easy from what I've read and heard. TIA

Takes about an hour and a half for two racks. I put a liberal amount of honey/rub on them and let em smoke with mesquite or pecan. They will fall off of the rib racks that come with the smoker, so don't go too far past the hour and a half mark. Remove them and wrap them in foil then put them on the pit if you want them to cook longer.

I have an Orion, but haven't used it in a while. I have cooked ribs on it and followed their cooking times and my seasonings and everything turned out great.

So you put honey as well as a dry rub? Sounds good- should I watch so that the honey doesn't make a thick carmelized coating- or is this not an issue- should I be liberal with the honey or just a light coating?-thanks again.

I use a light coating and heavy on the brown sugar in the rub.
