How I met your mother

Watched this religiously for years, but lately, it seems to have completely lost its luster. My wife and I deleted last week's episode half-way through.
Is it just my imagination? Should we hang in there?

Yea, it has run its course. The characters are/ have become caricatures of themselves.

I agree. Barney still entertains me but Ted's annoying as frick.

what else do you have to watch on Mondays at 7:00?
it's a TV show. just watch it.

Last week's episode was a pretty fun little episode if you ask me.

I could probably list 1,000 things better to do than watch a show I do not like. Just because it is on, does not mean one has to watch it.

It has crashed hard. I think that happens to all these types of shows over the years though. They are contracted through the end of next season, so I hope everyone does the sensible thing and shuts it down.
Regardless of how unenjoyable it is now I will still finish it out just because the first 4 (maybe 5) seasons were so great.

I don't think the show is as great as it once was, but I also don't think its descended into crap. In fact, I'd argue the "Robin episode" is among the series' finest. And Ted's always been a pretentious doucher, but the real centerpiece of the show to me is the relationship of Lilly and Marshall. It's outstanding, and still. The show has also given Robin much more to do, and she's a fantastic character.
In fact, the show only hits a rut when it starts focusing on how he met your mother. Ted is an anchor, and not in a good way.

then go do other things. don't bitch about a show on TV because you don't like it anymore.
you aren't required to watch it.

If you've gotten this far, then you may as well hang. IMO, this season has been decent. not as good as, say, season 4, but still not the worst.
robin with short hair<<<<<<<robin with long hair, IMO.

Yea, I guess you are right. We shouldn't discuss on a forum about TV shows whether or not the quality of a particular show has changed. I mean OP came off really bitchy here:

We should learn to just shutup and watch it like you, I guess.

From what I have read on here people seem to agree
I watch them, but I am always doing something else when I turn them on. Like on my laptop, or doing homework, or going to sleep...

I still watch but not with the interest that I used to. The show was funny about 2 yrs ago.
