Just ordered 10 mags from Cheaper than Dirt. They have TAPCO 30 round polymer mags for $5.90 right now. Even with shipping they were under $8 each. Just thought I would Pass it along

Don't have an AK, but that was certainly a kind gesture.

I strongly dislike the Tapco mags. I'd rather spend the $8 plus shipping on surplus metal mags.

What don't you like about them? I figured for the price I would give them a shot. They seem to have good reviews.

I've had some problems lately with mine. I have to load rounds while holding the magazine sideways for them to load properly.

I have a CIA AK 47 and they are VERY finicky with plastic mags. I bought one from academy and ended up returning it b/c I damn near couldn't get it to load in the rifle. Will stick with metal mags from now on. But thanks for the info. Love to know about any deals!

I have a Arsenal SLR-95 that will accept anything and I also have a WASR 10/63 GP underfolder but i haven't used anything but surplus metal mags out of the WASR. I will have to try out these plastic ones in it.

I've got some of those that I picked up for lkme 4 bucks a pop a while back. I've only used one of them once or twice. No issues

Mine is a WASR 10. It just wasn't worth the effort to force them on. The metal surplus have worked infinitely better for me. Try it on yours and let me know if you have the same problem.

My WASR accepts them just fine - FYI. Never had any issues there.

Only problem I have is that when loading cartridges into the magazine, the cartridge being pushed down slides forward in a way that the nose/tip of the bullet extrudes. This makes it impossible to insert the next round.

My remedy is just tapping the rear of the mag on something after each or loading the magazine while holding it so that gravity helps keep the cartridge pushed back.

Hard to explain. No big deal, though... just annoying.
