I don't have any desire to buy a house, but these rates are just stupid low.

It's to a point that whatever the rate is (under 4.5 %), go for it, if you can financially afford it.

Rates really have no where to go but up in the future.

when you say "future" you are correct if you mean about 2-3 years from now.

the fed has already committed to keeping rates low for years
