Hmm.

Pretty deep WR class this year. I was kinda hoping we'd look at him more because he is the only "big" WR in LA.

Won't matter in the slightest if we land RSJ.

Sounds like he isn't at the top of our WR list of guys we want so I see no problem in that.

The thing that excites me is that Brazil will be there solely to recruit for LSU. Sounds like he is going to be the guy to keep the LA guys in-state despite the minor hiccup the other week

Alabama can keep him, there are a lot of options that are better.

This is indeed strange, as it had earlier reported checked in at Junior Day?

This. That is why I was wondering why people were freaking out about him committing to bama. It wasn't like he was a "can't miss".

I t seems like we are looking in Texas for big wrs this year. There are 7-8 wrs in Texas 6'3 or taller that will sign with BCS schools. Maybe more. It's still early. We have one on campus in Ellis Jefferson.

I expect that with Adam Henry on board recruiting WRs will not be our biggest challenge with this class.

This is a reason for much optimism at the WR position.

There's a good chance he encouraged not to go to LSU by Alabama. This is a good player, we should keep in touch with him but at some time, if he is still strong with Bama, then we need to do whatever we need to get an OOS guy in here that is as good or better.

If he keeps his 3 star and Bama "cools" on him when they pick up 5stars later in the year, then it may be too late for him at LSU. Or anywhere else, if Bama pulls one like they did this year with an instate recruit.

Just checked 247 sports. Alabama has offered at least 5 of the top 15 WR's for 2013, and I stopped checking there. Falkins is #27.

Add in the 2 5star WR's they signed this year, Kenny Bell (if he's a senior) and Sylve, and it gets quite crowded there.

What's crazy with this is LSU needs a big receiver this year much less next year. I just wish this kid would have at least given LSU a chance at Junior Day before committing to Bama.

Bama just seems to offer every top 20 player at each position. With only 25 next year, this is not sustainable without cooling on someone.

I'm not goin we don't need him because he committed to Bama, but LSU needs to explain the playing time possibilities to this young man, and hopefully he will give them his ear.

who knows why he didn't show up. lets not forget his former coach and cousin is syronne carey who played under nick saban at lsu.

I'm sure the coaches are evaluating him and will continue to. There is a year until signing day and if along the way our staff wants him then we'll be in the thick of it.

If he wants a LSU offer, he'll come to our camp where LSU does the majority of their evaluations.

I'm sure had he come to Junior Day and committed to LSU, you'd be saying he's one of the best WR's in the state.

Why does everyone assume he didn't go? There are conflicting reports in the very thread with one saying he did and one saying he didn't. I'll go with the latter.

the real question is:

"Is he the best WR in the state, yes or no?"

He is tall so he has to be good at WR.
